KANCHIPURAM

Kanchipuram silk sari is a traditional Indian silk sari made in the Kanchipuram region of Tamil Nadu. It is worn by women in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The region has 25 silk and cotton yarn industries and 60 dyeing units. The saris are woven from pure mulberry silk thread and are made using three shuttles. The border color and design are often different from the body.

Tarangan Paithani was started in year 1995 as a small Paithani shop in Yeola. Sachin Wade and his brother Santosh established it. Earlier they used to supply Paithani to sellers in Mumbai, Pune, and other big cities. Later they started sales as retail in year 1995. Paithani manufacturing was carried out since generations in their family. Tarangan Paithani today is one of the famous names in the offline market as well as on online platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, etc.
